I did, and it did in all five chambers with a 250 gr SWC. One day someone said try a magnum and see if it will chamber. I reload and shoot both 44 mag an special. It is lightweight (20 oz - empty) and shoots the 45acp. It would make a great CCW if you wanted to carry a large bore revolver. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 - deducting 1 point for the finish. The single action trigger was very good, but the double action trigger needs a little improvement - not bad, but not great. Ejecting the fired rounds is the same as any other revolver - no problems there. It takes some practice to load and a fast reload is out of the question. It has a mechanism that locks the round in the cylinder. I shot 200gr LSWC, 230gr ball, 200 gr Hornady XTP, and 185gr Berry's FP through it and all shot well. I have fired around 200 rounds through it and I am very pleased with the results. The finish is rough with some very sharp edges - it is definitely not a S&W or a Ruger, but its function is spot on. This one has been on my radar for a while and I finally "pulled the trigger" on it. The idea of a 2.5" revolver chambered in 45acp just appeals to me. From a price standpoint, they will compete with the Aim Surplus USED guns with ease, and are warranted as well.ĮTA: Wife just ordered the "bobbed" hammer for me! Pics to be posted once it arrives and I get it installed. They aren't S&Ws, they aren't $500-$600, and they are not Rossi's either. Their recent production guns are very good value for the money and I would not hesitate to buy more of them. I realize that Charter Arms have gone through some good times and not so good times over the years. Double action pull is not S&W nice, but it is not too far off. It has a really great single action trigger pull, and I mean REALLY GREAT.

I have ordered a bobbed hammer from Charter to install for snagless operation, not that that has been any issue as the Clip Draw keeps the hammer out of the pocket. I am looking for a good pocket holster for it as well. Drops right into a pocket or IWB for the quick trip to the store etc. It is a terrific little revolver that has been 100% since I bought it.
